Newport Rhode Island was the home of the beach houses or summer houses for the rich in the 1800s and the The Breakers is probably the most famous of the mansions still standing in Newport. This was one of two beautiful homes of the Vanderbilt family who built the railways in the USA. This photo is a composite of 5 photos into a high dynamic range photo which shows of the fine detail of the mansion walls.

Hi .... I am a photographer with a strong interest in macro flower, travel and nature. My photography career started years ago when I bought my first camera, a Pentax. I took a break from photography then to pursue a career in medical statistics and came back to photography just 5 years ago. The world of photography has changed a lot in 30 years. In a previous career I also worked as a Computing Officer of a university and supported students and staff in Art and Design who were using Adobe Photoshop to design cellphone bodies. Today I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop techniques to enhance my images.
